Reins of Change, a private stable dedicated to providing mental health services for people, offers a variety of programs to create positive change for children, adolescents and adults. We work with therapists, schools, hospitals, residential programs, court services, families and corporations to achieve client goals. Research studies show the positive effects horses can have on people through these experiential activities. Many of our clients have found their experiences with our staff and horses exceed their expectations. Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, Equine Assisted Learning, Corporate Leadership and Development and EAGALA services are the core programs at Reins of Change. Our facilitating teams include licensed therapists, equine specialists who are experts in horse behavior, and when appropriate, additional qualified specialists. Our therapists specialize with particular populations (i.e., eating disorders, ADHD, behavior disorders, depression, groups and corporate training). As this team approach allows us to provide the highest quality services for our clients, you may be assured that each individualized program is designed to meet your needs. Staff at Reins of Change are trained and certified by EAGALA, the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (www.eagala.org) and several of our staff hold advanced degrees. No other organization in the state of Illinois has this level of training or experience. In addition to being the Founder and Executive Director of Reins of Change, Amy Blossom also serves on the Chairman of EAGALA's Board of Directors. The staff at Reins of Change is proud to play an active role in the international growth of this amazing field!
